We are people taking care of people, and our reward is when our guest is able to let everything go that is holding them down, and forget all of their worries or pain they are going through, even if it’s just for a little while.
When I was younger, I wanted to be like Dolly Parton when I grew up. She always had this glowing skin, big hair, makeup, and high heels.

Arizona Regional Manager, Red Door Spas

Lynn Espino is the Arizona Regional Manager for Red Door Spas. She enjoyed the time together with family this summer when they drove up the coast of California, from San Diego to San Francisco. Her favorite guilty pleasure is a chocolate chip pie. To relieve stress her favorite thing to do is walk her dog, Cheeto, and clear her thoughts by taking in the beauty of the desert.

“My passion for the beauty industry stems from so many things, but I would put it into two categories. One is beauty itself, and how when you look good on the outside, it brings out your inner beauty. When I was younger, I wanted to be like Dolly Parton when I grew up. She always had this glowing skin, big hair, makeup, polished nails, sparkly dresses, and high heels. She used to talk about how she had a team of people at the beauty salon who made her look the way she did, and that when she finished a day of pampering and primping, she felt like a new woman. I love being a woman, and I know how I feel at the end of a spa day, and it gives you more confidence, and you really do leave feeling like a new person. Everyone loves to feel beautiful.

The other category for me and the most important are the people in this industry who give their heart and soul every day to help others feel good about themselves. I’ve been in the industry for more than 15 years, and when I think about the relationships I’ve developed and have watched my team develop with each other and our guests, it makes me so proud to be a part of this industry. People come to us for so many different reasons, and we are one of the few industries that actually physically touch people, and it’s important that when we touch a guest, they feel compassion, kindness, and a sense of peace. To give that to someone means that you have to be centered and willing to give a little of yourself to a complete stranger so they trust you and can take in the benefits of what we do, and feel like we are in that moment for only them. We are people taking care of people, and our reward is when our guest is able to let everything go that is holding them down, and forget all of their worries or pain they are going through, even if it’s just for a little while.”
