Irisha Steele

This was a long journey of wishing, hoping, tears and doubt… but it happened. I know without a doubt that this is truly my calling.
During college, I got a part-time job at a day spa. It was there that I found instant love.

“Growing up I had a focus on well-being, I promoted positivity, peace, and passion for health and wellness. It was my calling to share with the world.

At the age of 18 I knew I wanted to work in the spa. However, I was pressured by my mother to study criminal justice, so following her wishes I went to school for Criminal Justice and Psychology at Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island.

During college, I got a part-time job at a day spa. It was there that I found instant love. After college, I worked at a non-profit, but dreamed about returning to the spa. One day walking down the street in Boston, I saw they were building a Bliss Spa. I applied, got hired, and quit my salary job to work at the front desk. At the time, I was only making 13 dollars an hour. Everyone thought I was crazy, but I knew I was following my heart and that this was my true passion. This started my career transition from criminal justice to the spa industry. This was a long journey of wishing, hoping, tears and doubt… but it happened.  I know without a doubt that this is truly my calling.”
